The secret of the island jules verne6/12/2023 Enjoy an oriental Takht music performance on board. Discover the Egyptian Museum (or the Grand Egyptian Museum subject to opening), home to the Amarna Room and the treasures of Tutankhamun. (D)ĭay 2 Full-day visit to the Pyramids and Sphinx. Transfer to the 5-star Mövenpick MS Darakum for a 14-night cruise. For the returning visitor it will ‘fill in’ the gap between the Pyramids and ancient Thebes, then reveal ‘secret’ sites from Luxor to Aswan.Ĭolourful scenes embellish the desert tombs at Tuna el-Gebel, the cliffs at Beni Hassan, the temples at Abydos, necropolis of the pharaohs and Greco-Roman Denderah.ĭay 1 Fly from London Heathrow to Cairo. Whilst Cairo and Luxor are influenced by tourism, these cruises offer a rare opportunity to observe an old way of life and ancient sites largely unvisited, with the benefit of longer actual cruising than on the classic Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan. The ancient capital moved between Upper (Thebes) and Lower Egypt (Memphis), sometimes split and sometimes united, except when the ‘heretic’ Pharaoh Akhenaten and Nefertiti moved the capital to Amarna between the two kingdoms. This cruise follows in the footsteps of Napoleon’s savants, Champollion who uncovered the secrets of the hieroglyphs and the 19th-century British travellers – all travelled south on the Nile to Thebes, enjoying some days of sailing after hectic Cairo – in between visits to the ancient sites.

The Texan's Wager by Jodi Thomas6/12/2023 Although they are not alike, Carter and Bailee are true soulmates. Carter takes home his new bride, and the love story begins. It turns out to be a very fortunate day for both Bailee and Carter. The town is so small and devoid of women that the lawman would much rather marry off the three women criminals than see them hung. His chosen bride is Bailee, who has the choice of getting married to one of the men who shows up for the wife lottery or possibly being hanged for killing a man who tried to assault her and her friends. He's capable and resourceful, and reading this book only shows just how endowed with these traits he is. His strength of will and character are what attracted me to him and earned my eternal devotion. His parents told him to survive and that's what he did. His family was horribly murdered while he was forced to hide out. He may not attract all romance novel fans. Carter McKoy has my complete and utter devotion. It's a special love story, with characters you will never find in another book. I can't tell you how much I love this book.

Try ella frank read online6/12/2023 As Tate witnesses an intimate moment between Logan and a female co-worker, Tate finds his body longing for something he cannot understand. As much as he resists Logan, Tate cannot understand why he keeps checking the door to see if Logan has come in yet. Night after night, Tate tries to deal with the persistent advances of Logan. Tate’s latest problem, however, is that he has caught the focused and unwanted attention of Logan, a regular at the bar. He is looking for a fresh start with a new job at an upscale Chicago bar. A man is definitely not what he is looking for. A relationship is not what he is looking for. Tate has just gotten out of a four-year marriage and his soon to be ex-wife is still making his life hell. His thought is that, “Until the moment his cock got hard for only one person, he planned to use it to its full potential.” For years, ever since him, Logan’s motto for hookups has been Chase. As a partner in a law firm, Logan works hard and plays hard. For the ticket price of $543.90, Logan Mitchell has just been inducted into the Mile High Club, on what he thought would be a boring flight.

Thank you for signing up! Keep an eye on your inbox. That movie, directed and born from an idea by Black romance author Iris Bolling, did not get a big cinematic distribution, but is available to rent or buy through Amazon. Especially on the heels of the independent adaptation of her romantic suspense novel Deadly/Sexy. It’s right and good that she would be the first creator to benefit from this partnership between The Ripped Bodice and Sony Pictures Television. A trailblazer in her field, she published her first historical romance in 1994 and has been giving us amazing, well-researched romances (historical and contemporary) starring Black protagonists and other people of color for the past 25 years. (In both the industry sense and the more colloquial one.) Beverly Jenkins is a household name in romance. While properties that have been optioned could take years to reach fruition, this was obviously a Big Ass Deal. The idiot fyodor6/11/2023 The only other Dostoevsky novel I’ve read was Crime and Punishment, so of course my brain is going to compare the two. Of course the prince gets caught up with Rogozhin, Filippovna, and the society around them. Rogozhin is unhealthily obsessed with the mysterious beauty, Nastasya Filippovna to the point where the reader just knows nothing good will come of it. While on the train to Russia, he meets and befriends a man of dubious character called Rogozhin. The Idiot portrays young, childlike Prince Myshkin, who returns to his native Russia to seek out distant relatives after he has spent several years in a Swiss sanatorium. I’m struggling with something: How do I review a Russian literature classic? Better yet, how do I review a Russian literature classic without sounding like a total dumbass? (Hint: It’s probably not going to happen.)įirst I suppose a short plot synopsis should be in order: I’ve been trying to review this book for over a week now, but I can’t.

Empire of the vampire jay kristoff6/11/2023 The vivid portrayal of desperation and survival showcases Gabriel’s skill, cunning-ness, and relentless spirit. Combat scenes are brutal and visceral, and, if you are a reader like me, truly cinematic. The thrilling and well-choreographed action sequences rival battle fueled battles that are true to what we have gotten to love in The Witcher. Although the narrative style is like Interview with a vampire, Jay weaves his tale between a younger, still hopeful Gabriel and his older, world worn self, revealing pivotal moments that have shaped both him and the world around him. Gabriel is a complex character, haunted by a grueling past, driven by his quest for love, redemption, and sacrifice. To be bloody clear – the world building in this book is masterful.Īt the heart of our story is Gabriel de León, the last surviving silver saint, a holy order dedicated to combat vampires. It’s a haunting post – apocalyptic landscape where ancient ruins loom, monstrous creatures lurk, and survival is key. The world starts off with the sun being a fading memory and vampire reign being supreme over humanity. My cheeky comparisons are outlined as follows: Empire of the vampire is like a potion brewed with some of our favorite ingredients The Witcher, meets Game of Thrones, meets Interview with a Vampire, whilst staying true to our classic portrayal of the vampires we got to know in Dracula.

Erotic Pulp Volume 1 by Callie Press6/10/2023 Have you ever seen those amazing Chinese painted bottles? They are these tiny bottles that the artist paints carefully from the inside. She has an outstanding gift for dialogue. Her work is brash and subtle at the same time. This is one of the best climactic sex scenes I’ve ever read.įrom COCKSLAP to ROMANTIC HURDLE, this is Callie Press in a delicately painted nutshell. Then you have the sweet, sumptuous Candy, and the running maniac Danny running, pounding, hurdling, bumping cockhead to cervix in a very Bizarre Olympic Tune-up. I mean, peoples, when’s the last time you saw a cockslap lead to entrails all over sails? Am I right? Read that one outloud: entrails all over sails. I mean, you have Fit Man and Burpee Girl succumbing to Street Thug and you have Barnacle Man cocksplitting a captain.Īs Sea Captain of Facebook Brazil I really vibed off that one. These stories share that Stan Lee quality of focusing on really wholesome ordinary characters who are then plagued, blessed, beaten by exceptional circumcisions, err, circumstances. I was lucky enough to see this work form and have just had the enormous pleasure (and I mean enormous! Wink wink) of reading Erotic Pulp #1 and wanted to leave SPOILERS GALORE! Read with caution. Now, True Believers, the Amazon shelfies are smacking a Pulpadelic "Comic Book without the drawings" by the illustrious Callie Press. |
